All i wanna say is they dont really care abt us

i like this song, "they dont really care abt us" by MJ. I like that song for that unique beats and the electric guitar part and that care free voice yelling "all i wanna is that, they dont really care abt us".

After reading couple of Charu's article about the music, it enlightened my listening abilities.(for this matter, i'm strictly not recommending charu for idiots..he's the real joker from dark knight..he just upsets that established order).

So with that insight i listened to this song and i was realizing few things abt the song, then i immediately downloaded the lyrics and read it once...wow..what a song.

The pain that colored people underwent for the past several decades had been just put up in a 4.42 mins song in a most beautiful way. This song is a brutal truth, not only abt colored people, but it hold good to any type of discrimination...the questions he put forth and how arrogantly he breaks them to pieces are just mindblowing... for example:

"Beat me, hate me
You can never break me
Will me, thrill me
You can never kill me
Jew me, sue me
Everybody do me
Kick me, kike me
Don't you black or white me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my life
I have a wife and two children who love me
I am the victim of police brutality, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of hate
You're rapin' me of my pride
Oh, for God's sake
I look to heaven to fulfill its prophecy...
Set me free"

This is definitely not a person asking others to treat him equally, but it just says how he feels when u ill treat. When u listen to this song with utmost abilities and all your senses open, then you'll never discriminate your fellow human !!!!

MJ, whatever the world may call you, i just adore you !!!!!!

1000 pages - 50 questions - 35 to pass - days to study - if not cleared then "no promotion". The best part is i dont even work in that platform now...so what...RULES.

more often he proves that all he needs is a school and not a company !!!!

now all my 3.5 yrs of hard work will go unrecognised if i didnt clear this certification...

now i'm thinking, will it be a loss for me or company ????????

as of now the answer is ME...so going to study.....

while studying for this exam i just felt humiliated to the core...

Colours - Guys !!!!

Kochu sometime back told strongly that guys are colour blinded and cant see beyond 7 colours. Since that day, i am testing her prophecy and amazingly she's atleast 80% correct.

For guys, all the colours they know are VIBGYOR - violet-Indigo-blue-green-yellow-orange-red. Then add the word light or dark to it...now its done. I checked with few more people and i am relatively correct.

Few observations:

1) People from south, Rose colour means pink colour.
2) Silver is not a colour, its a metal.
3) The colour of silver is referred as shining white.
4) No idea about mauve\beige. Mauve means light violet and beige means light brown.
5) There's no ash color, its either light grey or dark grey.
6) Skin colour can be categorized as white, yellow, black, brown. no tan is accepted ;)

Well, there are lots to add to it. but yeah, to certain extent we are colour blinded, no issues, it makes our life little easy !!!!

Opis Komedies - Part 40: Kya bath hein ?

(A long break from Opis Komedies, actually, now lots of opportunities around as shanm returned, shrikanth\raghu joined the gang and one and only karthi in full form !!!!

So will try to capture all....)

Since two days, Shrikanth was trying to learn hindi and most of the times it turns out to be some gibberish !!!!

Shrikanth and Shanm were trying to speak in hindi today.

Me: (to Shrikanth) Idhar aao, hum hindi mein baath kartha hoon
Shanm: (suddenly getting up) Kya baath hein ?
Shrikanth: ennadu, kaalaila kulikaliya ? (havent "bath"ed today ?)

Shanm donno what to say :D

I told this to Ram and he came up with one more piece: Couple of his friends trying to impress some hindi speaking girls:

M1: Kya baath hein ?
M2: (with full frustration) hmmm, bisibelabaath hein !!!!!

Chiggy Wiggy With You !!!!!

By this time, everybody would have heard this awesome song from ARR in the movie Blue.

Excellent peppy song + Sexy voice + Awesome dance = A Super hit visual entertainer.

Few things i love in this song is:

1) The happiness that inflicts in your veins once u hear\see this song.
2) Kylie's steps for "I wanna chiggy wiggy with you", with both hands in thumps-up position, with a little hip shake for 180 degree and just letting the hands go in a carefree way......wow....no words to express the joyous step !!!!!!
3) At one more place, she attracts you to her feet, that akki piggy will start shouting Gori...and she reply with a flick in her neck towards backside and says "Babyyyyy"...oh man....after "go on" expression from Corres, this is admiring !!!!
4) The way she pronounces "boy" and "Fella" everytime, my heart goes for a toss and it was like she's calling me "boy" and "Fella"!!! wat a voice !!!!

People who admired like me till this point can skip the below part....

After admiring all these , i decided to read more about her in wiki and came to know her age !!!!!! I was fainted and now i know why she calls everyone "Boy" ;)

Kidnapped !!!!!!

I m in madurai for some personal reasons, Today noon, mom called me and showed a flash news in Sun TV. It reads this way "Chief building inspector Mr. XXXXX has been kidnapped today morning." I saw the name and was shocked for a min. It is my friends dad. I confirmed the news also. Now waiting for his safe return.

One thing is sure, once he come back, the people who did this will regret for their rest of the short life. I will clearly say that the kidnappers did a biggest mistake in their life !!!!!!!!

Karthik subburaj

It’s hard to praise someone in same age group. The first thing stand in front of you is ego, that to , if the stage is something like you all had an equal opportunity and only few overtakes you, then you’ll never speak about them. But there would be definitely few whom you would like to talk about beyond all this barriers and they had reached to that level in your mind not only because they are great but also they are still the same people whom you had moved around.

I will name three people like that, Suresh, for his greatness, Ramasamy, For his Intelligence and finally Karthik or as we call Subbuni for his talents. I will take sometime in detailing about the first two persons, but now I felt it’s time to speak something about Subbuni J

I first saw his in Quest 99 @ TCE. He mocked Surya’s aval varuvaala song. It was nice. Then eventually he became my college mate and things went smooth. We had very less interactions @ the earlier stage and after a year, we had an opportunity to play a skit for our college annual day. There formed the team and I really came to know how talented he is. I would say it was us first , who made the skit on Cricket match with Old actors Vs New actors.

Subbuni coined the script and it looked awesome. We re-used all old jokes and I played the role of MGR(don’t laugh…I say) and he played the role of TR(u all can laugh now J ). It was a big hit and paved way for us to various cultural events. It was a roller coaster ride from then, what not, wherever we went , we started winning. Feel good days. In between, we made some serious stuffs also which got critical acclaim from students.(kanji thotti + weavers problem was the best during those days). Thus, our college life ended with high note and we were split and were doing our jobs.

I used to think about what next and I really don’t have guts or talents to take it further, but for Subbuni, it was still a burning desire to make it big. He kept on honing his skills and waited to strike the right chord. Then one fine day, he joined a one day course on short film making and that was his visiting card. Then he invested his interest and money to learn more and ha came out with his first 3 mins film: Who’s the Indian – I was also a part of this project. Then he never stopped, he tried to visualize his dreams\concepts and all came out well. The technical brilliance of his film and narration techniques was also improvising a lot.

He started getting recognition, he won few awards(one international) by now and he’s taking a big step soon in his life. I knew he’ll definitely succeed.

I had associated with him for couple of short films and believe me, its tough to work with him. With very little resource and immature artists he thrives hard to get the maximum out of it. U wont believe , for every short film, he took almost 7-8 hrs for shooting alone J. If he come out big, he’ll be rated next to Shankar for perfection.

You can watch his short film at this location: http://www.reel-dreams.blogspot.com/

All the best subbuni and I m very proud of you !!!!!!

huh Gilma...huh Gilpa

These two phrase always brings a smile in my face. I was using this when i was in high school. In all my notes, i fill it with my own crappy philosophies (obviously funny) and at the end, i'll leave the signature "Huh Gilma.....Huh Gilpa !!!!"

Suddenly, someday back, i saw a funny status message in one of my friend's status message. It reads "Sampa - lakkadi - bampa", after seeing that my funny tag flashed. since then, i m using this tag...but this invites lots of troubles from that time, few of my friends asked questions like:
1) dude, full masti kya ?
2) hey, ny new girl friend ?
3) wat man, u boozed a lot kya ?

on top of all this, i still remeber the comment i received from my mom after seeing my note:

"Son, are you going to join al-umma ???? "

I almost stopped writing after this question :)

Finally, my personal comment when Fahad asked for the meaning, as i was fed up explaining people i told him into ulti frustration:

"Man, This is neo surrealistic philosophy !!!! "

Then he didnt asked and i dont have to explain, so planning to use the above sentence to anyone who'll ask in the future.

A sample of that neo surrelaistic philosophy:

"Sky above and Earth beneath, This is Life" :)

Hits counter in blog

The Hit list that comes in my blog kindled great interest at the start. I forget where i saw first, but it was a little struggle for an half-baked IT guy like me to add the same to my blog. I managed to do that at last, then i become too much obsessed with the same.

Everyday, will login to my blog and i'll check for the hits. If the Hit was less than 10 , it really pisses me off for the whole day. I know lots of people and i was assuming that atleast 25 people will cross my blog as their routine. When the results does not match my predictions it became a thorn in my head.

I was trying almost all stupid things to run the meter fast and i end up doing one thing, that is, refresh the page 10 times daily morning and thus increasing the count by 10. I did this for around a month and finally i realized that i'm as usual victimizing myself for unknown pleasure.

I stopped doing that one fine morning and i forgot the whole episode of hits. I saw the hits today and it crossed 11250. Let it be, who cares now ;)

Hungry

Once a hungry man was searching for food. He was so hungry that he was in tears and great pain. Then he stooped over a stone and suddenly fell in the valley. He stood up and found abundance food there. Turn anywhere u see fruits, like apple, grapes, banana and also a stream to quench his thirst. In excitement he started eating, he was eating as if he's gonna empty the whole valley within mins, he ate 3 apples, when he took fourth, it was hard for him, he was almost full. Even then he was so much obsessed with food and keep on eating, at one point he cant take anymore and just fell flat to death.

He was so much dwelling in past and he forgot to say enough. There was only input and no output. Had he given some time for digestion, he could have emptied the valley in some years, but alas, he forget this simple fact !!!!

Endurance test

Its been long time since i break into pieces and last Thursday was one such day where my endurance was tested for good 40 mins. I felt like insect in front of the mighty arms of rule makers in my company, who drives by numbers. Emotions apart, if i was the owner, even my intentions would be money. After all , Money is the only Ethics for any businessmen and thats how they should be.

So , something minimal expected for my 3 years of employment was not given and i was fuming for that. Evening we had a discussion on that and thats where , i was about to break into pieces. It wouldnt be decent to provide more details, but it was a certain eye opener for me. I knew where i was placed in the structure and it was not in good position.

The learning was phenomenal and somewhat i can now draw a line between profession and company. This learning though cost me 3.3 years !!!!!

2012: At worlds end

I saw the trailer of 2012. one more graphical junk, but also the concept was enough to kindle interest. Assuming that 2012 gonna be the end, here's my list of to-do before that (the numbering is not based on priorities, just for count sake)

1) To Visit US and upload few pics in orkut.
2) To ride a 75HP tractor
3) Gift something to parents
4) To meet Ms.X and inform her that i loved her from bottom of my heart
5) To come on television atleast once....
6) To direct a short film
7) To buy a standard 350cc Royal Enfield.
8) To make someone love me truly.

I can only think this much now. At the last day, i wanted to be with my family. Life short lived :)

Who is it - Most fav song of MJ

"Who is it" from the Album Dangerous is my most favorite MJ song. The song was penned and arranged by MJ himself.

Right from the start of this song, there'll be some dark emotions running behind. The song sets you in a mood from the first techno beat. It was never before heard beats with beautiful sync throughout. The voice of MJ was at complete recluse mood, the pathos and the feel of being cheated has been excellently portrayed in the voice. The music bit that starts from 2.50 min is absolutely awesome, donno the instrument arrangements but it adds ice to the cone.

The Lyrics of this song is completely filled with agony, pain and defeat. I gave attention to the lyrics after several listening and was really moved with the meaning. This song is really phenomenal and got some stunning visuals. The song was captured by David Fincher and thats in perfect flow with the song.Listen it and i believe you'll like it.

My next ten mins of fame

One more ten mins of fame !!!! There was a video making contest couple of months ago in my company. As per my SPM's request(torture), i made a short film for 2 mins. The theme is just how we handle a P1 case and the business impact of the same.

There were 17 entries in total and few are really good. The one made by Anupam based on ZooZoo was damn cute. We almost forgot the story and this video went for several round of screenings and finally ours got selected in top 3 videos.

I was delighted for few mins and then came back to normal state. But then someone reminded that we'll have a special interview of ours in the company Launched TV...now thats coool !!!!

So into ten mins of fame again and thankfully this time for all good reasons. I sincerely wish n hope that i should not goof up in the interview or else there'll be one more entry in Opis Komedies !!!!!!

King of POP

It was somewhere in 92, i was 10 then, My uncle bought me a cassette. It was Dangerous by Michael Jackson. The cost was somewhere around 120 bucks and i'm astonished with that price!!!!

I put the cassette in the player and the first song was JAM...at the start of that song, there'll be a glass breaking sound...that was the moment i became fan of MJ. Absolutely amazing album !!!! i heard each n every song for next couple of years and till now, whenever someone speaks about English songs, i say "My fav is MJ".

Others moved ahead with Backstreet boys, britney or even few went back to beatles, Elvis Presley...but for me its only MJ. off late, people gave me a cold stare when i told them that i'm MJ fan. well, there are lots of reasons for that but then i loved only his music and we have seen may examples of great people being little unstable here n there... just bits n pieces of life.

MJ, you are a genius and i adore you for that scintillating voice and awesome dance movements. You will always be there with me through your songs and you'll remain "KING OF POP". Rest in peace.

Conversation

The "Hey Hi" and "Bye" from SHE is absolutely delightful. It starts with an excitement and the lowers into husky voice. It sounds like AR Rehman song starting with high pitch and ends with finishing touch of Ilayaraja with fading melody....in total....for atleast 3-4 hrs, HE will be in all smiles !!!!!!!

Well, i donno wat to say, but i'm sure he's pretty confident that he's right and we all burst into laughter !!!!!

Coast II Coast

Yesterday, Me n Raghu (+1 in my friends list) went to wedding engagement. It was too crowded and we decided to eat outside. Raghu took me to a Mangalore style restaurant. I already have a great respect for Mangalore as they produce best looking girls in the country (Kerala comes next). Samples are Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone...

After our short trip to Mangalore for Ashwath's marriage, Mangalore gained loads of respect n love from me. Now as a next step, i went with Raghu to this restaurant called Coast II Coast in koramangala. The ambiance is good but above all the best thing is food.

I was new to the place so raghu took care of ordering best in the restaurant. We Started with Anjal fish, then Bangda fish and then had Neeru Dosa with Chicken curry. The taste was something outstanding that i had in recent times.

Now i feel like i'm preparing myself for Mangalore...anyone available there ???????????????

Sri Lanka - the end ?

The news is bad. Most of the channels claims the demise of LTTE chief Prabhakaran. What Next ?

1) No more political drama from Tamilnadu parties. Kalaignar dont need to start fasting after breakfast and ends before lunch. Vaiko dont have to cry on stage anymore. Jayalalitha dont need to give diplomatic answers on the issue.Congress may claim that it'll work towards wellness of Tamil people there.(if there are any) No other parties have to take any stand going forward.

2) Tamil cinema fraternity dont have to rally on this issue. soon seeman and few others who raised concerns will be released and start their next movies. we can see more duets on the sri lankan land going forward. some director may even claim that we r the first people who took shooting in this area.

3) No more discussion in Orkut forums from sudden Tamil belief people.

4) No more articles in newspaper\news channel supporting\cursing Tamil eelam and Tamil people.

5) Soon some hollywood director will make a movie on this issue and may claim some oscars(this will definitely happen)

6) No more weapon fires, they'll soon kill all Tamils over there. some business loss for armour industries, which they will soon find someother way to promote their business.

7) The people in Tamilnadu can return to their normal lifes of idly\vada, Hindu editorial and nayanthara's skin show.

8) Vairamuthu\pa vijay may write poems and can make some money. They will even release that book in kalaignar arangam in front of Kalaignar karunanithi and can make everyone cry with their word prowess.

9) Lots of newly wed Tamil couples may go to vanni, kilinochi for honey moon and can even take pics in front of cemetry.

10) The last living few hundreds of Tamil people may end up dying through disease\famine and few may opt to work under sri lankan people for food.

Finally, in few years everyone will forget Tamils lived there and start with their new life. There's a line in the movie Naan Kadavul: "Those who are unfit to live, i give them death, thats a boon for them...those who are unable to live, i'll give a boon for them and that is death."

But....some questions which lingers my mind are:

1) What about the Government and fellow Tamil fraternity who made Sri lankan Tamil unable to live ?
2) I cant sleep tonight...mebbe i may encounter endless sleepless nights till my last day. How about you guys ?

wow...much needed victory

Atlast, some cheer moments in life. We humiliated a team to core today(MPL cricket). Losing the toss, we were put to bat first. Shilpa n Sushma opened the innings and scored 12 from two overs. Oh my, these girls scored 8 runs by running btw the wickets..includes a couple also. Then guys came in, we changed the batting order and we sent Anubav n Prasun. Both gave an excellent start and made a solid partnership of 70 runs. Anubav scored 43 and prasun accompanied with a well made 30. So finally, at the end of ten overs the score tickled 106.

Then their girls opened the innings, we knew that it's an uphill task for them, but we wanted to really keep it tough on them. Their girls were out in the first over itself with the score of 4 on board. Then came their men, its now 103 from 8 overs. Aswath started the bowling attack and gave 1 run in his over. Then came Anvar, he kept it very straight outside the off...and batsman were not able to make any runs. Meanwhile they lost couple of wickets, one run out and one keeper catch.

Fifth over bowled by Sudeep and i took a catch in that. There are couple of incidents were i really dived\floated n took catches. This was one such, the ball was spinning in the air and going behind my shoulders. I started moving back and then made a turn and saw ball is couple of foot away from me, then i donno what happened but i just stretched my hand and was in air for couple of seconds and took that catch...then rolled on the ground..oh my...that was very satisfying !!!! i just cant believe it and i was damn soooo happyyyyyyyyyy !!!!

Then it became a one sided match with the opponents trying to score runs and getting out. finally they were 36 all out. We convincingly won by 70 runs and were happy !!!!

PS: why this much desperation over the opponents ? well, their captain umpired one of match and turned the results upside down...wanted to thrash him there but then we did that in todays match ;)

Ravi's Blog

I have been blogging for sometime and i used to read other's blog also. Though i follow few blogs regularly which u'll find on the leftside corner of the page.

A year or more than that, i found one blog in net. Actually it all started with Sadhguru. Rama was always talking high about sadhguru and by interest i was searching articles about him and ended up in this blog: http://hisnobelwoes.blogspot.com/. This blog doesnot comes under any category, it's more like a personal diary of a pessimist person. I really donno whether this person is really a genius or just one more bloke. But one thing for sure, if you read this blog you'll be dazzled\confused and at times feel like meeting this person.

Why suddenly i m writing abt this person ? coz, in my blog followers i found this person...so little surprised and lot shocked, so thought of mentioning abt him. Read the blog, atleast u'll come to know even we can blog in these ways ;)

MPL updates: Blazing Hawks Blazing moments

MPL kicked off on Monday, but the real performance of bat n bowl happened today with some amazing performance by our Team(Blazing Kawks). The winning streak started right from the toss as Aswath called for Heads and Heads it is. As per the plan we fielded. As you all know, first couple of overs were reserved for girls but they know little about our girls. Can you imagine a girl coming down the wicket and hitting over the mid-on ? well our Sushma can do that. Can you imagine a girl pulling the ball over leg square ? well our Nisha can do that. Can you imagine a girl bowling Yorker and can stop the lightning speed ball with ease ? well, our Shilpa can do that. Enough of introduction, now to the game. First over were bowled by Sushma and Shilpa was rested today. The line and length was straight and accurate. The opponent team can come up with just one run losing both their girls.

Then comes the men’s brigade. Ashwath’s unlucky steak of “missed-catches” continues in this series also. Sorry Ashwath, we’ll ensure that it wont happen again. Ashwath end up with 11 runs in two overs. Anwar was as usual accurate and fast. He gave the first breakthrough for opponents men’s brigade. The batsman miscued and swing the bat it went high and bowler and keeper were rushing to take the catch. As they are approaching the ball, there comes the voice “leave it..it’s mine”. To our shock it was Sushma who judged well adjusted herself just under the ball and took the catch. Almost the whole ground came to still for a fraction of second and then there was the loud outburst. Anwar completed two overs conceding 7 runs and taking an important wicket.

After the first wicket, it was cake walk for our second set of bowlers Sudeep and Anupam. Sudeep the second fast bowler(nxt to lightning speed vishal) came in for the bowling change. The batsman got absolutely no clue where the ball is pitching and where it’s taking turn. Well it was more like a practice for wicket keeper to move on leg and off side to stop the ball. With this type of neat bowling it would be injustice if he was not awarded with wickets…and he got two. An excellent catch from Abhishek and an easy catch for the keeper. Sudeep conceded 4 runs in two overs and took two wickets. Then Anupam, Mr. Variation Expert, was as usual un-predictable. He bowled on the right areas so that batsman cant make any big shots, and if someone tries, then it will be a wicket for sure. He took two wickets. Anwar took a catch in long on and other wicket was stumped by the keeper. Anupam ended with conceding 7 runs and taking two wickets.

Now few words about fielding, a pretty decent work from fielders although its not upto the mark of blazing hawks. Anubav was at his best on the leg side with those accurate throws and sprinted fielding. He was as quick as supersonic. Altogether some excellent fielding efforts from Nisha, Sushma, Anupam, Ashwath, abhi, vishal, Prasun, anwar, anubav, Sudeep saved lots of runs. Altogether a good effort from the team.

So the first innings ended with 36 runs and we need 37 from ten overs. Our girls opened the innings, the only thing told to them was “don’t finish the match in two overs, guys also need to bat”. But it seems like Sushma didn’t even mind it as she hit the first ball to boundary on the leg side. Together they scored 11 runs and made the target easy for the guys. Then came the star openers Anurag and Abhi. Both were cool and confident. From the first ball they went on hitting the bad balls and rotating the strike on good balls. Abhi played with ease and hit 3 boundaries. He scored 16 of 8 balls. Though the score was not huge, abhi was little hungry for snacks so he ramped up the innings fast and he finished the match in 4.3 overs.

My best friends wedding

It's not the movie review, it's my best friends wedding on Mar 8th, 2009. I knew him from 9th std, he was introduced to me by another best friend shafi. This guy came to school and after couple of months only i started talking to him. We slowly and steadily became good friends in 1 year. Then he left our school and joined some other school, almost 1.5 years we haven't heard a bit about him and he also somewhat hid himself from all his old friends.

Then one fine day, i heard that voice at my gate, instantly i identified, it's him. Then he explained me why he has not contacted me for a year. fair enough reasons and by that time he almost quit studies and went into business. Though his father created an empire for him to maintain, i saw him slowly growing the ladder with his own intrinsic qualities.

I learnt many things from this guy, the power of silence, the choice of words, simplicity to the core and approach towards bigger things in life. In all these years he grew and became an indispensible power in the state. They are No.1 exporters in their field and got lots of laurels for their company. Above all, he always remembers me and shares things with me. I always felt positive vibrant when i speak to him.

He's getting married this weekend, it's gonna be a big event in madurai. I am in madurai now....joining these events :)

Poonamalle !!!!!!!

Yesterday, i went chennai with my dad to meet a doctor(yeah, u guessed that rt...he's a dermatologist). The clinic was in poonamalle road. So we got down at guindy junction and we took a bus to poonamalle. It was some 20+ Kms away from guindy junction. When we reached the busstand, i got this sick feel because the place was nothing less than a slum !!!!!

I immediately dropped the idea of taking medication from that doctor, but my dad insisted and we went and asked for the address.

Me: This is poonamalle road.
Autodriver: Yes
Me: well, u know where's Breeze hotel ?
Autodriver: Yes, it's in poonamalle road.
Me: (bit confused) yeah, so where exactly in this road... (showing the direction) this way or that way.
Autodriver: (he pointed the direction where we came from and told) That way...u have to go another 25 kms !!!!!!!
Me: (shocked !!!!) what ???? this is poonamalle road rt ? then how come !!!! (i was literally blabbering)
Autodriver: yes, but u see, this poonamalle road starts from central station and ends here...nearly 35 kms..........

My dad was in splits as i was the one who acted like i-know-all-roads-in-chennai.....Then we took a bus and travelled another 45 mins to reach the location !!!!!!!

I still donno why the hell they kept that whole road as poonamalle road..........!!!!!!!!!

After that , we got sometime to roam , so i went and asked an autodriver:

Me: can u take us to spencers?
Autodriver: ok, 70 bucks....
Me: what ????? too high....it's in anna saalai rt..it's a short distance....
Autodriver: sir, u know where anna saalai starts from...............?

The next moment, i dropped the roaming plan and went back to hotel.....

Opis Komedies - Part 36: Why ? Why ? I donno why? It always happens to my!!!!!!

Two days back, there was a meeting in my company. The meeting was in VC (video conferencing) and so all around the globe it was connected. We have state of the art technology conference room.

The meeting was about some quarterly updates and i was dragged to the meeting as it's not having enough strength. I tried my level best to listen what they are trying to convey and seriously it didnt made any sense to me.

After 15 mins the monkey in me started peeping out, there was a mike in front of me with a switch. It's provided to ask questions if you have any. It was so tempting and i pressed it. It switched on, i was delighted and i was doing mike testing in it by tapping the mike. It was making some minute tap sound, with full delight i then switched it off. Then i looked up and to my shock the camera was focused on me and i'm visible thourgh out the world !!!!!!!!

OH NOOOOOOOOOo, it was too embarrassing and i can see people started laughing after seeing my reaction, then i donno what to do, so i was trying to avoid the camera by moving side, to my dismay there's no way i can move anywhere, i tried for ten mins and atlast i got up from the seat and sat on floor...the whole hall burst out of laughing !!!!!!!!!!

My Unit Head "You should never turn this guy mad !!!!!"...for the next 1 hr of meeting i was sitting on the floor !!!!!!!!!!

PS: i didnt knew that mike was connected with the camera !!!!
PPS: u want to know how the camera went off then, well, it was my PM who pressed the button accidentally and it started focusing him....
PPPS: Me, great escape !!!!!!!!!!

Naan Kadavul: Review 2

Arya played the lead role in this movie. It takes sometime to understand what type of people they really are. Well, he's grown up with Aghori sadhus and transformed into an Aghori. Aghori's are worshippers of third face of Siva. The three faces of siva are Vamadeva, Isaana siva and Aghora Rudhra. So Aghoris believe the third face, aghora rudhra of lord siva.

Arya lived in that role, that would be the right statement. The aasanas, the dialogues and the power in his eyes are too good. He fits this role in tailor made and he leaves an impression that no one else can do this character. Dialogues for him are little but then acting skills are never measured based on the pages of dialogues but the body language that should make justification to the role. In that way, Aarya excelled in the role of Aghori sadhu.

Technically speaking, there's lots of minute details added to his character. Be it the perfect "shiraasana" pose or the way he role gaanja or the dialogues he delivers or his pronunciation are all perfect. He speaks like a guy who has spoken very less tamil in his life with traces of hindi slang. Also, Arya's voice was like someone affected with throat cancer, why so ? because, the prolonged consumption of gaanga removes the real voice of yours and there'll be a big opening in the throat, so whenever the person speaks there'll be more air coming out of throat giving that "hissss" sound.

The way he carries the nair reminded me of an animal taking its prey to eat. Everytime he says "Aham Brahmasmi", we can feel that vibration in our heart. Also that killer looks, it penetrates through anyone. The sidha song he tells to his mom to get him released from her was toooooo powerfull and hard to digest. All his 3 yrs of hard work has been paid in triple !!!! good work aarya !!!!!!!

Naan Kadavul: Review 1

Concept 1:
"இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ தகுதி இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு நான் தரும் வரம் - மரணம், இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ வழி இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு நான் தரும் மரணம் - வரம் !!!!" translation "those who are not fit to live in this world, i give them boon - that's death and those who cant live in this world , i give them death - thats a boon". If you cant understand\digest\interpret these words then Bala's "Naan Kadavul" is definitely not for you.

Concept 2:
I met lots of people in my travel and beggars are most prominent among them. They are people with guttered physique, pathetic voice, handicapped, dumb and also few who acts like all the above and i simply ignore them. I never ever gave a single penny to any of these guys. For me, they are low life peoples, people who dont want to work and wants everything for free, just by raising the voice "amma, thaaye, pitchai podunga", i hate that very sound.I saw many physically challenged peoples who works or does something to lead a decent life, i have all respect for them and never fail to acknowledge their mental power and survival instinct in this world, but on the contrary, i hate those "physically challenged beggars" who makes awful expressions and asks for money, i never had any respect for them...until, yesterday when i came out watching "Naan Kadavul".

I sincerely wish that there's no such situation prevailing around the beggars(as shown in the movie) but at the same time if it's there, even less than 1%, anywhere in this world...thats really paining. I was filled with unavoidable thoughts about all those people whom i ignored in the bus stand, railway station, outside my company, college, signals...i felt guilty. Why i have not given anything to them ? how can i assume that they beg and earn a life out of it ? how did i ever ignored the physically challenged beggars ? did they got affected because of my ignorance ? what if someone on some particular day, to whom i have not given anything resulted in some extra beating from his boss ? i felt the pain...i cried for some hours. I whole heartily said "I am sorry, next time i'll show humanity when i meet any of you on the way, i try to give something, i believe that u beg because someone is forcing you to do that, i believe u didnt become beggar by choice...." Disturbing thoughts for the whole night.....

Movie review:

Bala did a brilliant work in blending both the concepts. It's not a film, which you can categorize as good or bad, it's just an unavoidable movie and in my opinion "This is the identity of Cinema". It's a very intense movie narrated in a dark way with dry sarcastic comedies through out. For the ages to come, people will speak about this movie...

I am closing my review here....but this is not the end, will write few more reviews about this movie once that uneasy feeling settles down !!!!!!!!!

Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum....simply superb

Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum, the title is taken from old chandrababu's song. When they announced this i was not surprised that Yuvan was roped in for this project as he's a versatile musician and he has proved that beyond any doubts in this rocking album.

5 songs with one repeat and all 5 are excellent in their own ways...he served a full meals with supreme taste. Like some unique movies which raises the movie watching experience to next level, this album definitely takes tamil audience indulged in tamilized-english songs will take them one level up.One more creative album from Music Prince.

Chinnan sirusu: A melody from Prince and the starting beats sets u into the mood. Javed Ali of "Jash-e-bahara" fame and Bela Shinde of "in lamhon ki" fame (both from Jodha Akbar) rendered voice for this song. Wow, the instruments and sounds will give us a vivid visualisation of a place surrounded by trees and only the lovers in the frame. In whole, will linger in ur years for long time.....sweet song

Kadaloram: Again a melody with prince himself giving voice.(there's a separate SPB saran version also). This again tells the pain of love and clearly stands unique in the lot.The beats are simple so that we can really feel the lyrics .In this song, only the tune is innovating and gives a good feel, rest he follows the same steps of any conventional song.

Muttathu pakathula: Remix version of "Nandavanathil oru rajakumari" from "Karakaatakaaran". I love the original version which comes for less than 30 sec in the movie. Somewhat i forgot this song and after some 10 yrs, i heard it now and wow.......what a song !!! Voice by Venkat Prabhu, as playfull as gangai amaran, this is a typical kuthu song with excellent music. I was really amazed with the small metallic guitar piercing in the second half of the song. This song is definitely gonna be a chart buster. It takes front benchers to dance and back benchers to tap their foot in the theatre !!!!!!!

Na Dharmenda: SPB, back with a song like "singari sarakku namma sarakku". Such a gifted voice he got, its still fresh n new and only he can add pep to any song with little gestures in voice. simply speaking, hear it for SPB once. Then, the rock music in the middle...can someone imagine a rock guitar piece in btw these type of songs...sheer imagination...excellent application. one more fast paced song which keeps u live till end.

Oru nimisham: Innovation...creativity at its best...thats all i can say abt this song. It's an oppari style song(sung during deaths) with the original voice of Velmurugan with excellent thappu music at the background. The music raises and lowers and without ur knowledge u'll be dancing for this song. The pain in the song is penned beautifully and u'll get a mixed emotion of dancing with lingering thoughts of lost love. Once again an excellent creative work from Yuvan.

Overall, i rate this album above all the recent releases in Tamil. After hearing the songs, i felt like hugging Yuvan and giving some pat !!!! Thanks Yuvan for this absolutely mind blowing album...I will definitely watch this movie once for the songs. All the best to the team.

HE, SHE, SHE's Friends and Slumdog Millionaire

HE is not so charming guy, but everybody calls him a good guy. HE is extremely shy with girls and slowly trying to get over it. So HE finally decided to take out a SHE to a movie. HE asked SHE at the time of GHAJINI release. SHE denied....Then one day HE was talking about Slumdog Millionaire and SHE was excited to see the movie. SHE asked him whether HE can book tickets for her and roomie...HE said yes.

It took SHE 2 days to finalize showtime and date. So finally friday, SHE asked HE to book 3 tickets. So HE went on booking and asked SHE's credit card number. SHE dont have one...now HE has to use his card to book ticket as well as collect ticket. So HE proposed that plan to SHE, that HE will book 4 tickets, 3 in a row and 1 seperate. SHE thought for a min and said, book 4 continuous. HE delighted:)

Then HE opened the site and started booking and then........GOSH....issue with the system and credit card booking not accepted. HE was bewildered, then HE asked his friend and roomies card, but to add more pain it also failed. Desperately HE called Credit card company and got to know that he can do online transaction only after couple of hours !!!!!

So HE decided to goto theatre directly and book it. So HE and HE's friend(who's newly married and going to his house) accompanied him for a while in this eternal travel. HE then rushed to counter and found that HE's 3rd or 4th guy to book the ticket.wow...HE got it. HE spent 2 days on his speech and to show off his technical\analysis\logical skills while watching the movie. HE prepared so hard that even Obama should take tips from him!!!!

On the D Day he got up early, brushed twice, bathed twice, perfumed twice and in a friends bike he reached theatre even before the operator came. Forgot to say, HE took 30 mins to dress-up only to look like a security guard :( !!!!Then he waited...waited....and waited....clocks ticking in 1/12th per second !!!!finally he received a call from SHE: "Hey, will be there in 15 mins..." So HE started waiting again. After 15 mins SHE called again to say "Hey, it will take another 15 mins, so can you wait or else u can leave the ticket at the counter and we will collect it"...HE said "thats ok , i'll wait"

Now, HE is a sort of movie freak who loves to watch the movie from newsreel, if not HE will fight with his friends for coming late. This is how HE is, for the past 18 years of movie watching!!!!!! So HE broke that vow today....Had it been other day, HE would have ignored his friends and got into the theatre, but today, he decided to wait....finally SHE came with her friends.

A very formal "Hi", thats it. HE already decided not to talk to SHE's friends and will give full attention only to SHE. well, HE was nearly 15 mins late for the movie and HE took the seat. For his great shock...They sat like this. SHE's friend, SHE, SHE's friend and HE !!!!!! so the whole purpose was out of question and all his expert opinions speech was went in air !!!! The movie started and there was one gross scene...SHE's friend was so scared...hmmmm...had it been SHE, HE would have reacted but then it was just SHE's friend and HE wanted to maintain his cool image....so HE sat like dumb throughout the first half.

Interval, one more chance. HE was enquiring about the movie to SHE, HE was trying to show off his observing ability and asked SHE "i m still wondering how come that blind guy able to identify Benjamin Franklin"...SHE said "who cares, u cant see that much logic in a movie"...clearly stumped...to make-up HE blabbered "you are right, but then as its nominated for Oscars, these small things they have to take care...." SHE gave a dry smile...meaning SHUT UP.

HE bought pepsi for which SHE wanted to pay but HE managed to push the bill. HE expected to sit next to SHE atleast this time as her friends were not around.HE cleverly took two straws so that he can offer one to SHE...but as luck goes well for HE, HE end up sitting in the same position. Second half went in the same fashion and HE almost ended up like watching the movie alone...After the movie HE offered her lift till MG road which was rudely denied by SHE. well, HE was fed-up and called his friend "Machaanz, nothing went well"...HE's friend "did u asked for lunch.." HE:"that was a cool idea, will call now "...the call was never picked. HE kicked, his bike and came home and SHE went...who cares...let SHE go anywhere SHE wants to........HE came home and desperately writing this blog.................

No TV !!!!!!!

I was talking to deeja other day. The topic went from project to public life to various topics and finally i told her about the delhi-6 songs. To my amazement, she said, she dint knew about it. I told her to watch TV coz every now n then they're screening the trailer. She gave me an ultimate reply:

" No TV in our House."

I was shocked for sometime and cant digest that news. She's married and got a kid but still she don't have TV in her house.I yelled "Thats a sin". I stressed her again and confirmed the news. She was very subtle and little surprised with my shocking expressions. I asked her why and she said:

"We decided to spend some good time with each other, so we prefer talking to each other everyday rather than watching TV..."

All this time they spent on talking and understanding each other. It was an eye-opener for me. TV was very much an integral part of me. i really cant imagine a life without TV. Even though crap programme is on, i used to watch\surf channels. After she said that , i realized how much time i spent on TV rather than with people. In home, i always watch TV, i don't spend much time with my parents\sister or even friends. i do spend a lot of time in front of TV and lots of time i ignored peoples for the sake of cricket match\movie\song....I felt guilt that day !!!!!!

Thanks Deeja for this enlightenment and happy birthday to you !!!!

Sakkarai Pongal !!!!!

Oh god....i was completely out for one whole week, but how came i forgot the splendid sakkarai pongal we prepared and distributed to all !!!!!!!!!

well, all said that "it was awesome !!!!!!!!!!"

i was really happy for sometime on that day !!!!!!!!

Padikathavan: Review

After Villu fiasco, i went for this movie yesterday. Again the expectations are as less as possible. It turned out to be a good entertainer till first half and second half was gross.
Dhanush did a good job and his comedy sense is really good and expression are too good. In Tamil, among heroes, i like prabhudeva when it comes to comedy and after that its dhanush who can really make us laugh with his gestures and expressions.

There's nothing big in the movie to discuss apart from few twists which are not that much twisted. The comedy stands out in this movie and it's done really well by dhanush and Vivek. Except, they should have edited\shredded the vivek-bathing-in-heroine-costume comedy..it's awful and irritating.

Overall, a decent masala movie with all its elements. Looks like dhanush identified his plus and minus and giving a sheer entertainer. It's all the way Dhanush who's carrying the movie in his shoulders and he does it well !!!!

Weekend sin - Villu

Well, it all started with my roomie Shanm who pushed me to watch VILLU. I always have some preset mind when watching this type of movie and thats leave-your-brain-at-home, but still watching this movie gave me real heart-attack and other illness including vomit with the obscenity and dysentery with the action scenes.

There's nothing much-to-tell about the story, as it revolves around the one-man-who-can-save-everyone. Normally This spoilt brat uses superstar name in every movie and he tries to establish as next super star...but in this movie he took the path of MGR..believe me, MGR would have committed suicide if he was alive...same holds good for bharathiyar also.

The intro scene was one hell shot seen in the recent times...I think the whole team is not out of KURUVI impact...and he continues the legacy in this movie also yes he fly across a street to save an "attu" figuru !!!! and then as usual an intro song. Then he travels to village meets nayan n vadivelu and some shitty\crappy comedies...except for "rendu mulam idly". Nayan's as usual role with less-dress was as usual awkward. heard that she's the highest paid actress and to retain that she's reducing the dress as much as possible and sometimes its so scary....

Nayan, pls get little less salary n use little more clothes. If she's wearing such bizarre costume for songs, fine, we can forgive....but showing everything in all the scenes is little too much. even the front benchers used to get fed-up with this skin show....

Now back to story as second half travels to Munich with hell lots of goons showing some godfather stuffs !!!! then vijay meets them and some absolutely non-sense fight sequence and songs and what not !!!!! they used one famous dialogue from"good bad ugly" and insulted that dialogue to the core by vijay delivering that with a constipated look and throat cancer voice...then as usual there'll be bombs which-wont-hurt-hero, air fight, water fight and everything..in sum-up ,again an useless movie from him.

Vijay looks like an AIDS patient in this movie. We all know that he can dance gracefully, fight elegantly but he failed once again to choose a little convincing script. all this larger than life wont fit even our Superstar...so vijay better come down to earth or soon you'll join the league of Vijaykanth or JK Ritheesh !!!!!

well is there anything good to talk abt the movie..why not, in the interval they showed SARVAM trailer, looks promising(atleast the trailer)...when i came out of theatre , villu's intro song was lingering in my mind "raama kitta villa kettan, bheema kitta kathaiya ketten"....in frustration i told..."dei, unkitta naanga romba naala oru nalla padam kekkuromda !!!!"

Emosanal Attyachaar !!!!

I heard this song couple of times for less than 20-30 seconds during trailer...it's a hinglish song from hindi movie. Details:

Movie: Dev.D
Casting: Abhey Deol..donno others
Director: Anurag Kashyap("Black Friday", "No smoking" fame...)
Music: Amit Trivedi
Singer: Bony Chakraborty
Lyrics: Amitabh Bhatacharya

well, today i got a chance to listen to the whole song. It starts with brass band beats...like the band played during marriages...red costume and big instruments !!!! The song lyrics is absolutely deep rooted and hilarious....the voice sync with the song and music just blends...everything makes this song the best of the lot in recent hindi songs !!!! a very different approach to a song....

My fav line:

Tauba tera jalwa..tauba tera pyaar..
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar..

translated as:
hell ur charisma...hell ur love....
(and) ur emotional atrocity !!!!

I'm Lovin it...great song to hear and feel ;)

The full Lyrics:

eh dil pighla ke saaz bana loon,
dhadkan ko awaz bana loon,
smoking smoking nikle re dhooan.

Seene mein jalti hai armanon ki arthi,
Arrey what to tell you darling kya hua.
Arrey sapne dekhe jannat ke,
par mitti mein mil jaen,
phooken re ghar baar ki duniya..
ko bole good bye..
Chad jae haye Allah,
jisko bhi yeh bukhaar,

Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!
Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!

Jao Jao oh dilbar,
oh dilbar ohh!!
Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!

Ho gai dil ke paar tragedy…tragedy,
lut gai re bahaar, gul sukh sukh murjhae,
Ho gai dil ke paar tragedy…tragedy,
lut gai re bahaar, gul sukh sukh murjhae,

Bol Bol why did you ditch me,
Zindagi bhi lele yaar kill me,
Bol Bol why did you ditch me whore.
Bol Bol why did you ditch me,
Zindagi bhi lele yaar kill me,
Jao pia jao pia jao pia….

Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!
Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!

Jao Jao oh dilbar,
oh dilbar ohh!!
Tauba Tera Jalwa, Tauba tera pyar,
Tera Emosanal Attyachaar!
