Ava enna enna thedi vanda Anjalai !!!!!!!

After "venmathi venmathiye nillu" from Minnaley, this is definitely the most painful song in recent times. This song beautifully portrays the pain of love. The way they made this song is excellent that you can feel the pain inside. Surya dancing with the traces of "oppari" (songs played during death) is brilliant.

The song starts with "setha kottu" (death beats) where he'll be lying on the floor(drunk). The first half of the song travel from his friends house to his house and then a small outing with his friends and sister. The second half shows how he gets addicted to drugs and the pain incurred by drugs and love.It creates ripples for those who has experienced these pains to certain extent and tears for some extreme .

Few places where i was too much involved in the song are:

1) .13 sec - where surya start dancing by hitting his heart.
2) .26 sec - where he enters his house with his friends.
3) .43 sec - sameera n surya's cameo dance appearance and surya's expressions after she vanishes
4) 1.55 min - where he ends his dance with tears in his eyes
5) 1.59 min - as continuation of the tears, his first gesture for the lines "adanga kuthiraiya pola" is excellent. It just shows his anguish, pain and helplessness
6) 2.42 mins - where he comes back to home and his sister tries to make him sleep. the bro-sis relationship is beautifully portrayed. Gifted are those who got sisters !!!!
7) 3:00 mins - the scenes where he slowly gets addicted to drugs...horrible and sends cold nerves inside !!!
8) 5.03 mins - where he hits a guy with frustration, anger and the effects of drug....

The persons behind the success are:
GVM - director (yogesh corrected this :) )
Thamarai - Lyricist
Rathnavelu - DOP
HJ - Music
Karthick, V.Prasanna - Singer
dance ?????

A very disturbing song !!!!!!!

Opis Komedies - Part 27: Thank god !!!!!!!!

One more Quarterly townhall meeting and i organized the fun events(as usual).

Our IBU head came at the end of the meeting and he was delivering an inspiring speech about the present trend and how my company is taking steps and how each and every person has to react for this situation. It was really inspiring...and this happened next:

IBU HEAD: we have seen such situations earlier also, in 2001...(turning towards me) srini, were u there at that time ?
Me: (a big) NO !!!!
IBU HEAD: thank god, that's why we survived !!!!

The whole hall burst out of laughter and i really donno what to say !!!!!

Two things I can take from it:
1) it was just for fun !!!!
2) even he knows me !!!!

PS: he he he he he !!!!
PPS: whatever situation maybe, i take only the positive outcomes !!!!!

Opis Komedies - Part 26: What to tell machine ????

Arun was booking ticket for PVR in pulaas system. From their conversation anyone can easily makeout that they're first timers :) atlast, after little struggle they managed to book tickets(actually, they were using my ID to book tickets). After the booking got over i just logged out from the site:

Arun: dei, i want to take the prinout of it da...then only i'll get ticket
Me: (with full kaduppu) not required, there's a kiosk, u can get it from there.
Pulaas: hey, i wanted to ask..what you will tell to that Kiosk machine ?
Me: (with more kaduppu) hmmm...go infront of the machine, say "anda ka kasam...abu ka kusum...ticket kudu seesey"

Needless to say, in a blink of second she started chasing me and i somewhat managed to escape with little damage!!!!!

13 Tzameti

Yesterday night, after watching the ICL clash, i tuned to UTV world movies. It's an excellent channel which gives a wide variety of foreign language movies. The movie @ 11:00 pm for yesterday is 13 Tzameti.

This is a Spanish thriller directed by Gela Babluani and protagonist role performed by George Babluani(brothers !!!!)I have never seen such a mind-blowing film in recent times. It's literally mind-blowing. I lost sleep for 2 hours and it gave me immense fear. The movie is based on a group of rich perverts who put other people life's in stake for their own eternal pleasure. The performance of all the characters is simply outstanding. The fear they exhibit through their eyes is just more than brilliance.

Well, a little into the story, a young carpenter, sebastian, unable to control his urge about a secret job which can fetch him a fortune of money sets his journey to the house of death. The rich perverts of French community gambles during the weekend. The gamble is based on Russian roulette game. In simple terms, 13 people will stand in circle with their guns facing the opponents and have to fire when the lights turn on. They will be given 1 bullet in round one and the bullets count keeps on increasing till the last round. Well, our sebastian, unknowingly gets into this trap and now there's no going back and he has to play it out. The mental chaos he undergoes in this events form the rest of the story. I was not very sure about the story and nearly my heart pounded out when i came to know abt the game-plot, from there on it's a roller coaster ride. The fear completely surmounted me and it started sweating @ 12:00 am in bangalore cold !!!!

One disturbing thing about this movie is that, this can't be a complete fictional, it can happen somewhere in the world. The success of this picture is the narration style of this movie from the point of view of the persons who are playing this game. Even though the protagonist took the mainstream of performance, all the other 12 characters depicts their emotions via their eyes.....and it's terrifying !!!!

For a change, if you guys want to know how death will be or the moments before death..watch this movie. If not you'll get fear of death atleast you'll get respect for all lives around !!!!

The whole movie is made in Black&White and in broad daylight. The music is just amazing, camera is simple and efficient in capturing emotions(no bizarre angles, almost still shots). The editing is slow but the screenplay is too gripping that you'll feel the cold nerves !!!!

PS: this is purely my personal opinion...
PPS: watch it once and if it doesn't gives u fear, be happy that you are very much gifted in life !!!!
PPPS: yaaruppa anga, thathuvam solran seeni, notes edunga !!!!

Guzarish !!!!!

Those who got addicted to "Sutrum Vizhi sudare" and lured in its harmony please don't listen to Guzarish !!!!!!

Reasons:

1) Guzarish is just un-comparable !!!!
2) Guzarish is just mind-blowing !!!!
3) i donno the difference between preludes\interludes or what instruments he used...but it just gets into you completely and u'll be dumb-strucked through the whole process !!!!
4) Last but not the least....one more reason is that, after hearing Guzarish...u feel like "Sutrum Vizhi sudare" sucks !!!!!!!

Kudos to genius and thanks for great music !!!!

PS: i am just waiting for Rama(http://ramsrules.blogspot.com/) to come out with his review !!!!

Opis Komedies - Part 25: My calendar !!!!

Couple of weeks back, my day was completely filled with meetings. Almost all the day I’m filled with meetings but this is a special one , coz i didn’t even find time for lunch !!!!

so i just took a screen shot of my calendar and send it across to my small elite group of friends, who firmly believe that i am not working at all. This group of people includes Ashwath, sunil, shanm, bishwa, shristi and kochu.

Well, if we start a mail chain, it goes for hours with all types of comments for which atlast you will feel like ending ur life at that instance. This elite group has enormous sense of humour with utmost sarcastic touch.

On that day also, the moment i send my screen shot i got 6 replies in 8 mins. At that time, Kochu passed my cubicle and i asked her:

Me: Hey Kochu, u saw the new mail chain ???
Kochu: haven't, will chk now !!!

After sometime,

Kochu: i didnt get any mails !!!
Me: (wondering !!!) what ???

the next sec, i got call from Ashwath:

Ashwath: Machaanz, why is the onsite PM is there in the mailer list ?????
me: WHAT !!!!!

Heart almost bounced out of my mouth !!!! the reasons are:

1) I mixed up the mail id of Kochu with that onsite PM
2) she's a lady PM in onsite
3) The worst part is, she's the one who asked me for updates and in turn i arranged all those meeting !!!!!

That was one of the most embarrassing moment in my career...i pinged her and apologised. She's generous enough to give a smile and push this topic behind woods !!!!

PS: this post is dedicated to Kochu !!!
PPS: past 2 weeks i m trying to avoid to pen this incident...finally kochu almost threatened me to write this !!!!!

Opis Komedies - Part 24: sunday cricket match !!!

Sunday 23rd Nov, 2008. 00:00 hrs

I got an SMS from Ashwath like this:

Hey i got 15 tickets to da cricket match in bangalore this sunday. Shall we go ?

I saw this message in the morning and i was trying his number couple of times. Finally 9:30 am he called me. I asked him about the tickets and cost, he said it's given at the end of the sms and asked me to check it myself.

Immediately i opened the message again and checked. It was:

if you get dis kind of msg plz take me also to match :)

DAMN UR PJ !!!! actually he's a localite and we dont have any grounds to doubt the authenticity of the message !!!! but anyways, he made bhakra out of us !!!!!

PS: i gave him back with filled-water-bottle

Visitors List !!!!

I added a new widget to my blog, "Visitors List". I had this some time back and while changing the blog template i deleted it, after that i haven’t bothered\noticed this widget at all. Interestingly i added this yesterday and i was eager to know who all are visiting my blog ;)

Today, i saw the results. As below:

The results are expected, like the three dots in India (Bangalore, Pune n Delhi - whatever i scribble i immediately drop a mail to few of my friends and they are distributed in that location). No wonders abt the dots in USA and CANADA. Friends are there. But the confusing part is a dot from Australia. All i know about Australia are kangaroos and cricket...so i am completely surprised to see a dot there !!!!!

Still analyzing and will publish my findings soon ;)

Opis Komedies - Part 23: How was CAT ??????

There is a guy in our project. An intelligent guy but often fails to conceal his activities. He's a CAT aspirant and he was preparing hard. As i personally gave CAT and failed i have that mutual sympathy for this guy. One day i asked him about his preparation and i got a very ferocious reply that he's not preparing for CAT and he's only helping his friend in his\her preparation. (That’s the stupidest answer I ever heard )

Well, i wondered how in the world a person can help others by just sitting in his place and solving all mock CAT questions of his own?? Are they connected through telepathy ???

The CAT got over last week and half the population whining about the brutality exhibited by the IIM in setting the question papers and other half much relieved and started their regular work. I saw this guy today and asked him:

ME: so man, how was CAT ?
HE: I didn’t gave it man !!!!
ME: (adango....abusing in mind voice) yeah i know man, i was about to ask how your friend whom you helped in preparation gave CAT ????
HE: (sheepish smile...another failure act to conceal his defeat) i didnt ask him man !!!
ME: (dei, veri yethaatha...abusing again) That's unfair man, you should have asked your friend about that...heard that it was pathetic !!!!
HE: (didn’t reply and just sat back)

in this whole process, Ashwath was trying very hard to cover his laughter !!!!!

Bug in C !!!!

This happened during my training days. First day of C programming, before that the toughest C program I ever coded in my life is prime number.(still I don’t get that logic, I just memorized and vomited in the exam). After day 1 of some basic introduction, I thought of writing a program.. This program gives an option for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of two numbers. I wrote the program and started testing it.

Everything was fine, I checked for addition of two numbers. 10+12 = 22, then 3+4 = 7…wow, my first program and its running fine. Then I thought of testing the system capacity. I gave some large numbers and then also it was returning the right results. Then I gave this number 3.4 , 4.6 for addition I was expecting 8 and it spitted 7 on my face !!!!

Now, I am bit surprised, I tried various numbers and everything worked well except 3.4 and 4.6. Now, I was really wondering whether I have invented a bug in the C programming ??? then the weird thoughts like : me solving the bug and getting noticed, then I get company level recognition, then US people wants to know how I debugged it , so I m making a trip to US and what not, at last ending up meeting Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Larry Page.

It was uncontrollable pleasure for few mins and then I informed my fellow batch mate about the bug. She was in grave shock hearing what I have said. She was delighted and at that time I was looking like million bucks in front of her (aiiiaaaaa, Vaaranam Aaiyiram padam paathathu idukaachum use aagudey !!!!) then she looked into my code. The next minute she gave an awkward look at me as if I’m the biggest moron in this world. I asked her:

Me: Hey what happened?????
She: Have you ever coded before in your life ????
Me: No, whats the matter ????
She: well, u declared the variable as "int" and you are trying to add a "float" values…

Well, do I have to say how I looked at that time ???? it’s left for your imagination, but certainly it took me a week to face her again!!!!!

PS: after that only I came to know the variable types in C
PPS: that was the first and last time I coded something !!!!
PPPS: still now, at some weird hours, I believe what I coded is absolutely right !!!!!!!!!

What will happen ????

The other day i was going through few java questions as a preparation for my exams. I read a question without any answer choices...

1) What will happen if you try to compile and execute this piece of code ?

well, as there are no choices to pick from, i came up with my own answer:

"It'll invoke the nuclear weapon which is 500mts away from this company and within seconds this company will burn down to ashes !!!! "

I like this objective type questions without any objects, it just expands ur creativity !!!!!

PS: I'm lovin it !!!!
PPS: i wish that piece of code really does as per my wish !!!
PPPS: he he he he :D

Vaaranam Aaiyiram - the better title is Yaanai Thousand or Elephant Aayiram !!!!

Vaaranam Aaiyiram..mixed opinions, though its definitely not a master piece , can be watched once for few things:

(STATUTORY WARNING: few spoilers are there)

1) The excellent love track between Surya and Sameera. It starts like an usual Love-At-First-Sight (eventhough I don’t believe that, but sameera va paatha yaara irundaalum they’ll fall in love) and ends up as an eternal love. The scene where he tried to convince her to stay back in India was just awesome. The whole track keeps the movie live for first half.
2) Anjalai song: Fate separates the lovers and this song comes after that. Surya got an intrinsic way of showing few things, like when he first meet sameera he used to keep his hands on heart and try to stop the extra-poundings. During this song, which portrays the pathos side has been churned out well with dance movements like he will hit his heart with the same hands to show the pain…
3) Surya’s acting has improved a lot and this is definitely his career best. Excellent performance from him and he has shown that thin margin btw son and dad. He’s definitely an inspirational dad!!!!
4) Sameera: wow, she’s absolutely fantastic. No skin shows, just expressions, the glimpse she gives when she meet surya in US is simply outstanding…it disturbed my sleep for some hours ;)
5) Technical department: Technical department is simply outstanding. It’s really refreshing to see the visuals and in particular; songs and fights. The fights during the rescue of the child are so natural and “adiyae kolluthey” is best for its choreography and picturization.

I hope 5 reasons are more than enough to watch a movie…now to bloopers.

1) The movie name is derived from aandal thirupaavai, an excellent rendition on lord perumal. That’s the only time u see something in pure tamil, for rest of the movie even the paper boy will use standard idioms. So B & C centres la padam kandippa puttukum. There’s a scene in which divya tells surya, “you look like million bucks!!!” My roomie: “dei, iva ippo ennada sonna????”
2) Length!!!!! well, though surya-sameera part is an interesting one, but the length really made us tired and everyone were expecting an interval to peee(athisayamaa PVR la nethu AC fulla irunduchu, the moment interval title card came, everyone were running out) In second half after surya getting married, the movie runs for another 30 odd mins...sathiyama ukaara mudiyala!!!!!!
3) Slow!!!!! When the movie ended we felt like stayed in theatre for some months!!!! Though the movie is slow, none of the things are detailed. The whole story is in narrative manner, so if it’s little more detailed, it would had been a great pleasure to watch
4) Re-Recording…a big letdown!!! Songs are really good but harris re-recording was pathetic to the core. I always had a doubt whether this guy is an "aathivaasi", and he proved that once again with his cruel re-recording. Wish I had a remote to mute few scenes!!!!!
5) Father-Son relationship was portrayed bit larger than life and it’s not acceptable at times.

Avlothaan pa….this is purely my personal opinion. One more spoiler alert, people who follow mass heroes pls avoid this movie!!!!!!!!

Moi premier fauche !!!!

Well, the topic means “My First Theft”

I was 5 years old. We were not financially settled then, so I used to go to neighbor’s places and watch their kids playing with toys. That was my best pastime at that age. I particularly liked a toy-train. It’s big in size and it gives tak-tak sound while running. Whenever I listen to that sound, it gives sheer joy in me. The kid who used to play with the train always offers the toy to me for playing, but even at that age I was very reluctant in touching it. I had a feel that it doesn’t belong to me, also what if I broke it? My dad definitely can’t replace it. So I just avoided those things. At that time I was such a nice kid, that I never asked anything from parents. My mom used to tell me that if at all I ask something, it’ll be in polite manner and I always add one last sentence to it “when u have money buy that for me dad” 

I was also very proud about this and couple of years passed, at the age of 7, as a kid I got the irresistible urge to own something. I can’t digest the fact that I don’t have anything to play with. There were a family, couple of houses away from us. His dad used to buy him lots of toys. The devil inside me urged to steal one for me. I went to his house and that kid was playing with the toys and I also joined with him. He’s younger to me and so I have a little over-hand on him. After sometime that aunty bought us milk to drink and this guy was just running away and she was trying to catch him. I decided, yes, this is the moment. I snatched a tiniest car in the lot and put it in my pocket silently. It just happened instantly and I was thrilled for that fraction of second.

I came home with a happy note, but somewhat something was pinching me from inside. I know how my parents value ethics and how they fear for GOD. That night I just felt very bad, it’s just swing of emotions and I cried that night for what I have done. All I felt was, I did a wrong thing. Next day evening, after my school, I went straight to his house. He greeted me with the same smile and I also managed to smile at him. Then at one point of time, I just took the car from my pocket and was about to put it back in the lot. Well, my worse time, the kid saw that. He couldn’t grasp anything but he just felt bad. He stopped speaking to me and in couple of months they moved away from our house.

That day, that particular look from that kids face, I was very ashamed; I apologized to him whenever I go to temple. I still donno whether he forgives me or not but for me I still feel guilty. That was my first and last theft.

PS: that kid name is Faiyaz.

Do you have any phobia?

I’m acrophobic and claustrophobic. In simple words, I have fear for heights, narrow spaces, congestion. There’s definitely no answer for how I got acquainted with these fears. I’m traveling with them for past several years. Earlier till age 17,I was Achluophobic (fear of darkness) , but now I got used to darkness and it doesn’t fear me anymore.

When I say this acrophobia, I even fear to climb ladder, stand up in a stool, peep from second floor and lots. I always want my foot to be rested in the ground or else it gives me scary thoughts as if I am a suspended particle in air and any time gravity can pull me and I may become invisible. My workplace is in 6th floor of the building and I never peeped from there. It’s such a horrible sight to see below. Whenever I see or try to see below I feel like jumping. I am not sick but it’s that cold feel I get always then the continual reactions will be my palms will become ice cold, I will be trembling a bit, I will reach my seat and give my whole body weight on the cushion…..as if someone has glued me to it. At times people used to make fun of it, but somehow I just ignore them. The other day, we went to shivamani concert arranged in our campus. It’s over crowded so we went to first floor. It was crowded there too and only way to watch is standing on a stool. So shanm brought two stools and he was standing on that. With some guts I got up the stool, stood on that for nearly 10 mins, the music was so mesmerizing and I was completely into it. After 10 mins I just looked down...my foot are trembling and i felt like suspended in sky…next moment I just got down from stool!!!!!!!! Couple of years back, i went trekking...it's little steep and i still remember i was sticking to the rock like lizard for whole 2 hours :(

Regarding the fear of narrow path, the scariest experience is at Prarthana / Aradhana drive-in theatre. It was 4 years back during the release of the movie “Kathal”. The ticket counter looks like a cage…30 foot narrow path build with walls on either side at 15 foot high, the worst part is that its concealed and the space is just 2.5 foot which is fit enough for just one person to stand….just like caged-queue. I went inside the queue and there were no one behind me…and in front of me 5-6 guys were standing. After 3-4 mins there came not less than 10 people behind me. I felt like locked from all the side and I started feeling suffocation. I just started pushing them away and was heading towards exit….when I came out I was just immersed in sweat and I can taste the salty tears in my lips…I was crying like hell. My friends were waiting on the other side of the queue after parking their two-wheelers. I just went straight to siva and told him that it’s too crowded and I cant go inside. He cursed me and he went and bought the tickets.

Somewhat I got used to live with this but i want to overcome this. Can someone suggest how to overcome these fears?

Opis Komedies - Part 22: Onsite ??????

Yesterday night, around 7:00, me , ashwath, shanm and sunil were in office and chit-chatting....suddenly we heard a bunch of peoples losing their control and greeting a person few cubicles away from ours. It was like some birthday bash and everone's hugging him and congratulating him....

Ashwath: hey, what's happening there machaanz ???
Shanm: I think someone's going onsite man!!!
Me:(in bit loud voice) what ???? someone's going ONSITE....That's RARE SIGHT then!!!!

including PM n SPM everyone were in splits for few minutes !!!!

PS: Bruce(PM) asked me after few mins "where do u get all this man ????"

Opis Komedies - Part 21: Are the girls so stupid ???

Me n ashwath were in cafeteria discussing the good luck of coming to office on saturday. Ram dwivedi, he's the guy who recently got engaged came there and we were teasing him:

Ram: so srini, when's ur marriage man ?
Me: haaa, i m too young for that...
Ashwahth: he he, and do you think girls are that stupid ????
(he n Ram had a blast of crackers in their stomach)
Me:(the very nxt second i replied)...hmmm, yes machaanz, there's only one Shilpa.

Shilpa is Ashwath's fiancee ;)

PS: my last dialogue to him before he started chasing me "machaannz, u bought it and the score now is 1-0"

Come, let me introduce u to that girl .....

Whenever i hear this: "Come, let me introduce u to that girl...", somewhere deep inside the guy awakes and urges to follow the trail but i avoid it consciously and i am excellent in doing this for the past 8 years.Reason ???? well, two bad experience with this "introduction" in my college life.

Exp 1: Me and Murali are good friends. He joined college couple of months before me and made some good friends there. When i joined college, my only aim was to convince Ms.X to love me. So while planning out lots of things for that, Murali came to me one day and told that "Ms.X is in ECE rt, come let me introduce to a girl who's in her class and she may help you !!!" like a dog going behind dead fish i followed him. He went to first year class room and this particular girl was there(whom he's going to introduce). She was with couple of her friends busy chatting. Then this guy went to their place and straight away joined in conversation with them. I was standing there bit confused, then somewhat i managed to grab a seat close to him, and then i started waiting...for about 10 mins. Finally, as it's not moving anywhere, i thought i'll pitch in. That very moment someone in that group cracked a joke and i pitched in and said "good one", then time came still. They suddenly realized that there's someone sitting next to them and listening to them and they started giving an expression which has lots of confusion and little "who the hell he is?"..ironically, my friend..Murali also gave the same expression. oh gosh, i'm helpless, that lady, who supposed to be my cupid asked murali "Who's he ?" Murali told with little hesitation "oh..ivanaa, he's srini". The next second, i just got up from that place and started walking towards my den. Till i reach my destination, i was abusing murali in mindvoice...i never ever abused anyone that much in my life !!!!!!!

I completely avoided her till the end of my college :)

EXP 2: There was one big shot studying in our college. One of her friends by means became our friend (sort of). Everyone in our gang were willing to get an intro to that Ms.Y. Somewhat or other he managed to give intro to everyone, in lab, in canteen, in class and i was the only one left. I was just waiting for my D Day. Finally one fineday, it's wednesday and we completed our sports hours and were settled in "STORES". I was wearing a shorts and t-Shirt with 99% covered with red-sand. I sweated out a lot and i was looking nothing more than a buffalo in ditch.(hope everyone reading this are smiling :) ). This guy Praveen came and told me to come with him, we had a 25 mts walk and then there she was standing !!!!! He introduced "Y, this is Srini from Mechatronics" i just said "Hi" immediately my reflexes alerted me and the next and last dialogue i told her is "Bye"...thats it. I really donno whether i was walking or running but went straight to rest room to get a glimpse of my position. Well, nothing to say, i was like a black pig amidst ditch !! so one more let down and i never went near her for the rest of my college life :)

So , the conclusion is that , after these two excellent intro sessions, i refrained myself from these sessions. Nowadays, i dont think friendship blooms with intro and all...it just happens..so wait for it :)

Review of an un-titled novel authored by Yogesh.

Yesterday i got to read a novel wrote by my friend. He's Yogesh, he's on Bench in US. I know this orthodox iyer payan from my school days. He's really hard-working and also little big to fit into any iyer boy image :). We share same sunsign and the difference between us is his scales are balanced, so he's absoulutely amazing guy.

Enough abt the author(people can learn more abt him @ http://libran-mind.blogspot.com/ ), now abt his first novel try.....

It's a romantic thriller and anyone who reads it will conclude that he got his own style of narrating incidents.Very standard english through out the novel makes it an interesting read. The story was told in one perspective with no logical flaws. As it's a romantic thriller, he keeps that what-happens-next interest till the end with a bit extra-dose of romance ;).

I dont want to reveal anything more, but few things to watch out for are:

1) his description prowess...amazing. A little bit of sarcasm in describing things gives u a smile somewhere inside when u read.
2) Narration, there's that perfect flow for a short novel.
3) Characters, as it's from one persons point of view all the characters were detailed from that person's view alone. Whoever reads, will imagine those characters from the lead person's point of view
4) eventhough it's a thriller and he reveals the plot at the end, but also he gives few glitches and clues through out. We will know that only after completing the reading....and it's really ISHTYLE !!!!
5) The story is short and straight except the last chapter and it takes less than 1.5 hrs to read it....which in my standard is a master-piece.

Few disturbing things...
1) never expected such a story from him..as i know him for quiet a long time...it was real chock for me. :/
2) The climax was too disturbing and his narration gives whacky images :(

That's it. The story is definitely "it can happen to anyone" sort, so it's worth reading.

My Name is Srinivasan

How i got my name ? have u ever wondered how we got our names ????? people get their names from parents which will be inspired are taken from their life. I heard different names in my life. In my company, in the telephone directory i found this name: James Bond Singh. Well, here's a real james bond fan, i wish he could have added few more creativity to it, like: Ian Flemmingsingh's James Bond Singh.

Jokes apart, i really pity the people who get their names from kulatheivam (really cant translate to english). so names like mundakanni, kabaali etc exists...it sounds bit weird , but then it's only my perception. In present generation people are keeping names that has some sanskrit and not-easy-to-spell names....like nisharva, pragjna (seriously tongue twister names) and there are other few who used to keep names in pure tamizh and torture us...like Vandaarkuzhazhi...(i was really irritated with this name and that person hate short-form also :( ). It's all peoples wish, i would prefer to keep a simple name to my kids..preferably starting with A, so that they'll be in first place always (atleast by names).

Now coming to my name, From my LKG to BE , i suffered a lot with my name as it starts with "S". As it comes in the last league of alphabets, i was always among the last ten people starting from attendance list to rank card list(ironically, i managed to grab top ten ranks in many occasions). The worst time will be during sweet distribution on independance day\republic day\what not days, waiting in queue for restroom(my old school had that :( ), getting the mark sheets, report cards, waiting for parents teacher meet, sports drill...u name it, i have it. I was one of the last ten people standing ...always.

One day out of frustration, i asked my parents, why u kept me this name ???? astrology ???? why????? well the answer was so simple, they replied "when ur mom was pregnant, the nurse and doctor's wife took her to a movie...'moonram pirai' and ironically you're born the very next day, so everyone in the hospital started calling u 'seenu' as we couldn't get any better name and also we like kamal, we kept that name for you"

Hmmmm, thats cool i got my name from Kamal, i was pacified a bit for having this name until one day i watched that movie and especially the climax !!!!!!!!

Ada paavigala, vera padam kidaikalia ungalukku... Nalla velai, neenga "16 vayathinile" padam paakala...or else my name would be "sappanivasan"
