Review of an un-titled novel authored by Yogesh.

Yesterday i got to read a novel wrote by my friend. He's Yogesh, he's on Bench in US. I know this orthodox iyer payan from my school days. He's really hard-working and also little big to fit into any iyer boy image :). We share same sunsign and the difference between us is his scales are balanced, so he's absoulutely amazing guy.

Enough abt the author(people can learn more abt him @ http://libran-mind.blogspot.com/ ), now abt his first novel try.....

It's a romantic thriller and anyone who reads it will conclude that he got his own style of narrating incidents.Very standard english through out the novel makes it an interesting read. The story was told in one perspective with no logical flaws. As it's a romantic thriller, he keeps that what-happens-next interest till the end with a bit extra-dose of romance ;).

I dont want to reveal anything more, but few things to watch out for are:

1) his description prowess...amazing. A little bit of sarcasm in describing things gives u a smile somewhere inside when u read.
2) Narration, there's that perfect flow for a short novel.
3) Characters, as it's from one persons point of view all the characters were detailed from that person's view alone. Whoever reads, will imagine those characters from the lead person's point of view
4) eventhough it's a thriller and he reveals the plot at the end, but also he gives few glitches and clues through out. We will know that only after completing the reading....and it's really ISHTYLE !!!!
5) The story is short and straight except the last chapter and it takes less than 1.5 hrs to read it....which in my standard is a master-piece.

Few disturbing things...
1) never expected such a story from him..as i know him for quiet a long time...it was real chock for me. :/
2) The climax was too disturbing and his narration gives whacky images :(

That's it. The story is definitely "it can happen to anyone" sort, so it's worth reading.

Philosophy patthi innum yosikkala da. Will try that too... Aanaa was thinking about another story... Romantic thriller again but on a much different ground... More on characters, how they get bound to each other and how love for someone saves his life...
