JAVA again

Sometime back (not so long), i wrote 2 articles about my JAVA perception:
http://srinitheemperor.blogspot.com/2007/07/java-java-java.html
http://srinitheemperor.blogspot.com/2007/11/development.html

But now, the time has changed, i started liking it, rather i was forced to like it. When you take a pill, eventhough it tastes yuck, it cures you, likewise, wat i thought as a yuck is now "I can code !!!!". Perception changes along with time, the only constant is CHANGE.

How i got this change????

It's simple, the fact is "FEAR"...

Fear, that i may end-up useless in software industry...
Fear, my promotion may get delayed...
Fear, without JAVA, job hopping is virtually impossible (u can end-up desktop support)....
Fear, that JAVA's necessary for next 5 yrs of my career growth...
Fear, i may lose my reputation as enthusiastic\vibrant\respected person in the project...
Fear, i should not be defeated by a prog.lang (ego problem)...

It's Fear...Fear...Fear........

If Fear can give such good transformation, i would like to "fear" for many things in life.........

Fear give Fire

unleash the beast in you....

Two things that tuens me down (at present, it's a long list....)

1) In bus(eventhough company bus), when some one sit next to you and started rubbing shoulders with you...it always happens to me. I hate people pressing me, even the slightest touch provokes me....I want to chop their hands, but end up adjusting myself to the situation....

2) When some one's mobile is engaged...I dont place calls unless its neccessary. So when people dont pick call, it really turns me mad and that to someone who's talking to girlfriend\flirt friend and not picking my call........I want to throw them from hill, but end up waiting for the person to pick the call.

Writer Sujatha passed away

Very sad news and nearly after 8 years it brought tears in my eyes for someone who passed away. Eventhough he's 72 but still cant digest his death.

Sujatha+ananda vikatan helped me a lot in learning Tamil. The first novel i read by Sujatha is "AAH" it came in 1990 (no time for verification now). All the episode ends with the letter "AAH" and eventhough i dont get the whole meaning of the novel at that time...i simply enjoyed reading it. Then his science fiction and physics works, he got amazing talent in conveying the message in common man language, lots of examples for that, this is one such: when he explains analog and digital signal, he wrote "Analog signal is like curve and digital signal is 36-28-36" what more explanation do you want????

he got many significant achievements, like inventing\re-designing the voting machine for Indian vote system, making science fiction a concept to write stories, registered his day-to-day life as "Katrathum Petradhum"...too many to pen down. I am emotionally struck to write minute details...

I take this time to thank him for all his work....

PS: will write some minute details soon. I wrote this in English coz the reach will be higher. will definitely write abt him in Tamil also.

World Movies - UTV

I love Movies, doesnt matter which language it's made. I observe movies to great extent. fine, now to the point.

I happened to tune the TV searching for ESPN (this cable operator gives sports channel of his choice) and suddenly strucked at a channel. It's UTV channel called "World Movies". I should really thank the cable operator for providing such a wonderfull channel. In the weekend, amidst my roomie's interruption , managed to watch 3 movies. 2 french and 1 spanish. Beleive me all three are awesome !!!!! here's the synopsis:

The Clean Machine: French.

Cleanly this stands out of any normal movies. It's about few kids starting a company for cleaning the house which includes services like gardening, grass cutting etc., The story starts with the ego clash, traitor inside and all that a real company could have face. You feel like it's big corporate company and it's CEO is under tremendous pressure due to illoyal employees\partners and how he's gonna succeed all the hurdles......u should watch it !!!!! (they start the company at the start of vacation and closes at the end of vacation)

best scene: 4 yr old kid calling for strike and marching in front of the company...it's soo lovely !!!!!

The Art of Losing: French (i think this is french)

A little serious movie about aquiring a land and series of events occuring while 2 mobsters trying to steal the original document. This movie is also nice but u should have little patient to watch this. Also i m tired to give minute details because the movie is heavy and consists of lots of minute details !!!! so watch it for yourself :-)

The longest penalty in the world: Spanish

Just reminds me "chennai-600028" in world class standard. It's a full length comedy movie and casting was extra-ordinay. All those simple faces makes lots of impression in you. the story:The championship for 6th division, final match between estrella Vs some other spanish team. Match lead by estrella with 1-0, when 1 min is left , refree calls for a stupid penalty and the goalie of estrella gets dis-located his shoulder with the crash. So the sub-goalie is called in , home crowd gets frenzy and match is called-off. The football federation discuss the issue and announce that the penalty will be taken in one week time. so the estrella team got 1 week to prepare their stupid goalie to defend the goal...wat happens next and climax is all comedy of errors !!!!!!!! I'm sure u'll laugh for atleast 1 week after watching this movie.

best scene: thepractice session in which coach instructs him wat has to be done to stop the goal...that 5 mins training u'll laugh like hell !!!!!

DEVELOPMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

கடந்த 1.5 வருடங்களாக மென்பொருள் வேலை செய்தாலும் கூட....ஒரு நாலு வரி code கூட எழுதியதில்லை (90% மென்பொருள் மக்கள் இப்பிடித்தான், that too i m a Oracle guy).

HAIR TRANSPLANTATION......Lifetime experience

So Atlast, the much awaited instance in the past 8 years has happened on 4th Nov. I went to the Apollo hospital early morning 6:50am, waited for around 20 mins, then Doc(Dr. Ratnavel) came.

The operation started in a blink, he just asked me to lie down on the bed, injected 3 needles in the head. After 20 secs i felt all the three patches in my head as hard flesh. then he scratched the back side portion of the head(couldn't exactly see what he's doing !!!) but blood started sprouting out and i can feel it running though my hands and faces. the moment i saw the blood, i felt tremendous shock inside and my hands started trembling.....

Then in less than 15 mins, he placed some laser poles on my front head and started placing the hairs. so it all got over in 30 mins. he put a bandage over the head and sent me back.

Throughout the operation the doctor was speaking something, i was totally blabbering and he replied to all my stupid questions...well now all over and i beleive it's worth the pain and cost. will have to wait for another 6 months for hair growth, after that i have to do one more session..then i'll be looking like my good old times. till then wait.............!!!!!
