Today i met a friend, Vaasan Churchill through CHAT. He's from my college, completed Mechanical engg, then went to Delhi IIT and finished his M-Tech(i too have such elite educated friends :) ). After that he went US to pursue his Phd in nanocomposites. We were discussing some off-topics and somewhat dragged in to his Phd Work.
Me: innum evlo naalda aagum mudikirathukku ???
Vaasan: 1.5 to 2 yrs aagumda...
Me: mudichittu sonthama company aarambikira plan irukka ???
Vaasan: (with utmost irritation and frustration)varuthapadatha valibar sangam venum na aarambikalaam !!!!
I couldnt stop laughing for few mins !!!! what timing !!! simply superb !!!!!
PS: now i'll ask the same question to scinetist Raji !!!!
PPS: also i'll ask to reenga, she's also working on some thesis !!!!

Well I completed my PhD three years ago. Seems that I knew what I wanted to do :). I am a research staff now in a univ. Have produced 2 more masters from my grp....basically exapanding my nuthood :))
in future I will try biotech business...after going to a business school or if i am in academics will collaborate with industries.
I can (will...have decided that only last week u know) also marry a man who belong to varuthapadaatha valibar sangam,:)) bake muffins and breads,cook idlies and dosas, have children and then try to go back again to research.
I am also planning to have a career shift to music after 30 years...if it really clicks...ippadi

PS: Seriously...PhD can drain all ur energy, esp in N.america where it goes to 6 yrs 7 yrs. i completed in 4.5 yrs.
