Poonamalle !!!!!!!

Yesterday, i went chennai with my dad to meet a doctor(yeah, u guessed that rt...he's a dermatologist). The clinic was in poonamalle road. So we got down at guindy junction and we took a bus to poonamalle. It was some 20+ Kms away from guindy junction. When we reached the busstand, i got this sick feel because the place was nothing less than a slum !!!!!

I immediately dropped the idea of taking medication from that doctor, but my dad insisted and we went and asked for the address.

Me: This is poonamalle road.
Autodriver: Yes
Me: well, u know where's Breeze hotel ?
Autodriver: Yes, it's in poonamalle road.
Me: (bit confused) yeah, so where exactly in this road... (showing the direction) this way or that way.
Autodriver: (he pointed the direction where we came from and told) That way...u have to go another 25 kms !!!!!!!
Me: (shocked !!!!) what ???? this is poonamalle road rt ? then how come !!!! (i was literally blabbering)
Autodriver: yes, but u see, this poonamalle road starts from central station and ends here...nearly 35 kms..........

My dad was in splits as i was the one who acted like i-know-all-roads-in-chennai.....Then we took a bus and travelled another 45 mins to reach the location !!!!!!!

I still donno why the hell they kept that whole road as poonamalle road..........!!!!!!!!!

After that , we got sometime to roam , so i went and asked an autodriver:

Me: can u take us to spencers?
Autodriver: ok, 70 bucks....
Me: what ????? too high....it's in anna saalai rt..it's a short distance....
Autodriver: sir, u know where anna saalai starts from...............?

The next moment, i dropped the roaming plan and went back to hotel.....

Opis Komedies - Part 36: Why ? Why ? I donno why? It always happens to my!!!!!!

Two days back, there was a meeting in my company. The meeting was in VC (video conferencing) and so all around the globe it was connected. We have state of the art technology conference room.

The meeting was about some quarterly updates and i was dragged to the meeting as it's not having enough strength. I tried my level best to listen what they are trying to convey and seriously it didnt made any sense to me.

After 15 mins the monkey in me started peeping out, there was a mike in front of me with a switch. It's provided to ask questions if you have any. It was so tempting and i pressed it. It switched on, i was delighted and i was doing mike testing in it by tapping the mike. It was making some minute tap sound, with full delight i then switched it off. Then i looked up and to my shock the camera was focused on me and i'm visible thourgh out the world !!!!!!!!

OH NOOOOOOOOOo, it was too embarrassing and i can see people started laughing after seeing my reaction, then i donno what to do, so i was trying to avoid the camera by moving side, to my dismay there's no way i can move anywhere, i tried for ten mins and atlast i got up from the seat and sat on floor...the whole hall burst out of laughing !!!!!!!!!!

My Unit Head "You should never turn this guy mad !!!!!"...for the next 1 hr of meeting i was sitting on the floor !!!!!!!!!!

PS: i didnt knew that mike was connected with the camera !!!!
PPS: u want to know how the camera went off then, well, it was my PM who pressed the button accidentally and it started focusing him....
PPPS: Me, great escape !!!!!!!!!!

Naan Kadavul: Review 2

Arya played the lead role in this movie. It takes sometime to understand what type of people they really are. Well, he's grown up with Aghori sadhus and transformed into an Aghori. Aghori's are worshippers of third face of Siva. The three faces of siva are Vamadeva, Isaana siva and Aghora Rudhra. So Aghoris believe the third face, aghora rudhra of lord siva.

Arya lived in that role, that would be the right statement. The aasanas, the dialogues and the power in his eyes are too good. He fits this role in tailor made and he leaves an impression that no one else can do this character. Dialogues for him are little but then acting skills are never measured based on the pages of dialogues but the body language that should make justification to the role. In that way, Aarya excelled in the role of Aghori sadhu.

Technically speaking, there's lots of minute details added to his character. Be it the perfect "shiraasana" pose or the way he role gaanja or the dialogues he delivers or his pronunciation are all perfect. He speaks like a guy who has spoken very less tamil in his life with traces of hindi slang. Also, Arya's voice was like someone affected with throat cancer, why so ? because, the prolonged consumption of gaanga removes the real voice of yours and there'll be a big opening in the throat, so whenever the person speaks there'll be more air coming out of throat giving that "hissss" sound.

The way he carries the nair reminded me of an animal taking its prey to eat. Everytime he says "Aham Brahmasmi", we can feel that vibration in our heart. Also that killer looks, it penetrates through anyone. The sidha song he tells to his mom to get him released from her was toooooo powerfull and hard to digest. All his 3 yrs of hard work has been paid in triple !!!! good work aarya !!!!!!!

Naan Kadavul: Review 1

Concept 1:
"இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ தகுதி இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு நான் தரும் வரம் - மரணம், இந்த உலகத்தில் வாழ வழி இல்லாதவர்களுக்கு நான் தரும் மரணம் - வரம் !!!!" translation "those who are not fit to live in this world, i give them boon - that's death and those who cant live in this world , i give them death - thats a boon". If you cant understand\digest\interpret these words then Bala's "Naan Kadavul" is definitely not for you.

Concept 2:
I met lots of people in my travel and beggars are most prominent among them. They are people with guttered physique, pathetic voice, handicapped, dumb and also few who acts like all the above and i simply ignore them. I never ever gave a single penny to any of these guys. For me, they are low life peoples, people who dont want to work and wants everything for free, just by raising the voice "amma, thaaye, pitchai podunga", i hate that very sound.I saw many physically challenged peoples who works or does something to lead a decent life, i have all respect for them and never fail to acknowledge their mental power and survival instinct in this world, but on the contrary, i hate those "physically challenged beggars" who makes awful expressions and asks for money, i never had any respect for them...until, yesterday when i came out watching "Naan Kadavul".

I sincerely wish that there's no such situation prevailing around the beggars(as shown in the movie) but at the same time if it's there, even less than 1%, anywhere in this world...thats really paining. I was filled with unavoidable thoughts about all those people whom i ignored in the bus stand, railway station, outside my company, college, signals...i felt guilty. Why i have not given anything to them ? how can i assume that they beg and earn a life out of it ? how did i ever ignored the physically challenged beggars ? did they got affected because of my ignorance ? what if someone on some particular day, to whom i have not given anything resulted in some extra beating from his boss ? i felt the pain...i cried for some hours. I whole heartily said "I am sorry, next time i'll show humanity when i meet any of you on the way, i try to give something, i believe that u beg because someone is forcing you to do that, i believe u didnt become beggar by choice...." Disturbing thoughts for the whole night.....

Movie review:

Bala did a brilliant work in blending both the concepts. It's not a film, which you can categorize as good or bad, it's just an unavoidable movie and in my opinion "This is the identity of Cinema". It's a very intense movie narrated in a dark way with dry sarcastic comedies through out. For the ages to come, people will speak about this movie...

I am closing my review here....but this is not the end, will write few more reviews about this movie once that uneasy feeling settles down !!!!!!!!!
